Nigel Price
Elected Councillor
My name is Nigel Price and I was born and bred in Llanwrtyd and my family have long connections with the town and surrounding area
I have been involved in property based and construction work all my working life in the private and public sector. From working for a local building firm for nearly 20 years I joined Brecknock Borough Council as it was called then, in 1991 and latterly for Powys County Council, in 1996 as a Housing officer and manager.
I left PCC in 2015 and returned to the private sector as a self-employed site manager to 2019, and then agency work for PCC until 2021
I have served as a Town councillor twice before from 1978 to 1986 and 2008 to 2016
I have also served as retained firefighter in Llanwrtyd for nearly 33 years, the last 12 being watch manager for the station.
In the past I’ve been involved in most organisations in the Town mainly sporting both playing and committee membership, most recently the Festival Committee and organise the Xmas Lights for the town. I am also a Trustee of the War Memorial Institute
For nearly 40 years I have been playing lawn bowls representing my County, and for the Fire Service representing Wales and the UK.
