Born Cardiff 26th September 1939. Educated Malborough College and Cardiff University.
Admitted as a Solicitor January 1964
Commissioned Monmouthshire Regiment, March 1960
1966-1967 Regular Army Service Overseas, Active Service Aden
June 1967 Transferred Royal Hong Kong Regiment. Service during cultural service riots.
1970, Loan Service Military Fiji Forces
1974, Returned to UK. Service with 3rd Batallion Royal Regiment of Wales.
