Peter Tonks

Co-opted Councillor

As a returning counsellor I welcome the opportunity to re-join Llanwrtyd Wells Town Council.

My education was completed at Bilston College, then an Engineering Apprenticeship at Rubery Owen, Darlaston. I also served as a member of Wolverhampton Council of Youth.

During my business career, which spanned over forty years, I rose from the shop floor to boardroom, eventually running my own company for over ten years, I am able to communicate, empathise and understand most peoples’ problems.

I consider myself to be honest, straightforward, approachable and have both common sense and integrity. Tenacious, practical, firm but tactful I have a strong sense of “fair play” and will persist with a problem until a solution is reached.

Joanna and I have happily lived in Llanwrtyd since 2002 and been involved in many community activities including: Wales Air Ambulance, L W Oil Buying Group, L W Gardening Club and The Victoria Hall Committee. I have a desire to serve again, this welcoming community in which we all live.
